JENNYS CHALLENGE !!!!
I want to see if anyone is confident enough to pull this conversion off ?

I found it while looking for reference for my Marder II build . It is a field conversion of a Panzer II (not a marder II) with a 5cm Pak & unpainted side armour . Whoever takes up the challenge , I have pictures of the interior , Ammo stowage boxes on the back , & the front armour plate .
Sooooo
Is anyone game to accept the challenge ?
Jenny

They come from the Bunderarchev website Chris . I will send you the set if you want to build this beasty
Since the vehicle has not got a name I call it a Pander ( half Panzer half Marder )

Re: JENNYS CHALLENGE !!!!
Jenny, that is called an "5cm PaK 38 L/60 auf Fahrgestell Panzerkampfwagen II (Sf)"
It would require the mating of a PaK 38 (Dragon #6444 would be good) and a panzer IIc A, B or C chassis with interiors. (Again Dragon's would fit perfectly.) All that topped with a scratch built armoured superstructure, gun mount and ammo boxes. Doesn't sound too complicated, like doing the interior of my Italeri 234/4.
Darn! How I'd love to do it!

Really a great challenge, Jenny. I'll post your challenge in Panzernet forum. Maybe some modeller faces up it.

More pictures
Well here are the rest of the pictures I found ! I think "Pander" suits it better than what you said Ruben
! Plus you are good friends with the person who thought up the name
!

Note the measurements (these may help if scaled down ) on the armoured plate . Also note the holes in the Guns armour plates & the darker (primer red) where the hinge flap for the lower plate are removed .

Note the carriage axle from the original gun is still a part of the mount .

Note the 5cm ammo boxes ( just released from Griffon ) on the floor & in the ammo stowage box on the back . It is most definately a Pz II not a reworked Marder as you can see by the tool stowage on the fender . Therefore the interior bits from the original PZ II should be light sand in colour .

I have to concede that point, "Pander" is better than the other name.
I wish the ones who thought up the name were my friends.
I'm seriously thinking about doing it but that will depend on how much time tha Bison I takes me so maybe...

I am considering it-
I will check "stock" at the homestead tonight to see if I can magae what is needed. I am quite sure I have the gun and the Panzer 2 chassis- plus I just completed 2 Panzer 2's and have a pretty good stock of spares. The shild from a Marder 2 may be able to be rworked for those components- like the welded pieces on the sides like "splash guards".
Let me mull this one over- it does not look too complicated (as most builds did not that ended up kicking my A$$)-
It really is a beauty of a conversion project- not too over the top but very unusual.
